Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to purchase john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can acquire your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special regulations on who can secure a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
